So today was our last signing class at the Beck center. In the last couple months she has had an explosion of words. Not only because she’s at the mental stage, but with the class and consistency at home.
I just added the last few words that I can remember her knowing and the official tally: 33!!! She knows 33 signs?! It’s pretty amazing and yes I’m rooting my own horn a little here, but she’s just wanting to communicate so bad that she is picking up on signs and learning them after just one use. Or “bed”, which she saw in class over a month ago, which I have never used at home for no real need, she just started doing it a couple nights ago when I asked if she was ready for bed. Every day I’m blown away by this girl.
