A Blog for My Daughter

Words from a Mother

This year was obviously different than years past. This year I cooked our Thanksgiving dinner and we stayed home. Grandma Marlene did join us, but she’s pretty much by herself and we didn’t want her to be alone.

You saw the turkey before it was cooked and decided you didn’t want to eat meat anymore. Lol. But that only lasted on thanksgiving.

So I started cooking at 11 am and was done cooking just after 5pm. It was a lot of work and you ate peas, instant mashed potatoes, and a Pillsbury croissant. So everything I made from scratch you didn’t touch. Lmao. It was amazing

But you DID try pie which you always have not liked. I made a vanilla pudding pie. You tried the crust at least but in the end, ate the filling.

We had fun over the break and just spent a lot of time together as a family and decorating. Today is the first day back to school. Only 2.5 weeks of school till Christmas break. 🤞🏻and it’s December 1st so the advent calendar begins.

This year your Uncle Mike organized a family calendar so people send you little gifts to open each day. It’s a lot of stuff so I’m not thrilled but you’re excited. Lol
